Acupuncture

Acupuncture aims to restore normal functions by stimulating certain points on meridians in order to free up the flow of Blood and Qi. Acupuncture relaxes muscles, calms the nervous system, helps to release pain killer chemicals and feel-good hormones.

Registered Acupuncturist Alexandra uses Acupuncture to encourage natural healing, improve mood and energy, rebalance energies, reduce and relieve pain and improve function of affected areas of the body such as the hormone or digestive system.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a wellness treatment based on the principle that there are pressure points on different areas of the feet and hands, that correspond to every part, gland, and organ in the body.

Reflexologist Kristan performs specific manipulations, mainly using the thumb, to unblock the energy channels and activate the pressure points.

The idea is that with proper energy flow, the body has the ability to heal itself, physically and emotionally.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

BCST (Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy) combines a Western scientific understanding of the body with mindfulness skills, a unique type of touch and an appreciation of the body's ability to heal itself.
The technique has its roots in the discoveries made by Osteopath Dr. William Garner Sutherland in the late 1800s.

BCST acknowledges the whole person (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health). Clients seek treatment for an extensive range of symptoms including pain, fatigue, stress related conditions as well as difficulties with sleep and digestion.

Our certified BCST Practitioner Vicki McKinnon took a two year practitioner course in Vernon and has been working with this modality for several years.

Vicki McKinnon
Hi, I am Vicki McKinnon, and it's a pleasure to meet you!
My name is Vicki McKinnon and I am a certified practitioner of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) and Reflexology. BCST is given with the client fully clothed while laying comfortably on their back on a massage table. There is no force or manipulation of any kind involved. We use a light, reverent touch in a few places on the client depending on the needs of that individual. It is very helpful in settling the nervous system and encouraging relaxation. The reflexology that I offer is certified by the Reflexology Association of Canada, which means it can be claimed on most extended health coverage.
I am new to 100 Mile House, having just moved here with my 4 Morgan horses and my German Shepherd, Murphy. I look forward to meeting you and having the opportunity to assist you in
your exploration of health.
