Reflexology

While Reflexology may not be scientifically proven as a medical treatment, it has been used for centuries all over the world to address different ailments.  The idea is that with proper energy flow, the body has the ability to heal itself, physically and emotionally.

Reflexology is a soothing, non-invasive modality that focuses on stimulating specific reflex points on the feet, hands, or ears. These points correspond to different organs and systems in the body. By applying gentle pressure, Reflexology helps to restore balance, support the body’s natural healing processes and promote deep relaxation.

The feet, hands, and ears are like maps of the body. When specific reflex points are stimulated, they send signals through the nervous system to the corresponding area — helping to release tension, improve circulation, boost energy flow and support overall function.

Reflexology is very relaxing and can leave you feeling lighter, calmer, and more in tune with your body.

Who is Reflexology For?

Reflexology is suitable for almost everyone and is especially helpful for those looking to:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

  • Improve sleep quality

  • Promote overall wellness and self-care

  • Experience gentle, restorative care

It’s a great option for anyone seeking a holistic way to relax, reset and support their body’s wellbeing.

When Not to Have Reflexology

While Reflexology is generally safe, there are times when it may not be appropriate. Please avoid treatment if you:

  • Have a fever or infectious illness

  • Are in the first trimester of pregnancy

  • Have open wounds, severe varicose veins, or fungal infections on the feet

  • Are experiencing a medical emergency or acute, unexplained pain

  • Have recently had surgery or deep vein thrombosis without clearance from your doctor

Please note, Reflexology is a wellness massage and not a medical treatment. Reflexology/reflexologists don't diagnose or treat any diseases or disorders. Always consult with your doctor prior to any treatment.

Reflexology sessions typically last 30 to 60 minutes depending on an individual’s needs. The effects of the sessions are said to be accumulative, meaning the more often you get them, the more likely you will feel the positive, relaxing effects of reflexology.
